Did you know that there are video game referees ?  I didn’t until recently, when I had the opportunity to meet and photograph Walter Day.  He was in Austin to officiate a contest. Ironically, Day planned to retire after the event.

This gentle man was very accommodating and even suggested some photo ideas.  The image posted of his reflection on a video game screen was his idea.   It was a reminder to me that the photographic process should be collaborative.
