Saturday evening, the moon made it’s closest pass of the Earth this year, producing the so called “Super Moon.”

Here’s how it appeared from my backyard in Austin.  I’m guessing that it looked much like this elsewhere.

This photo was taken on a Nikon D3,in DX crop mode, and using a 300 mm lens with a 2x converter.
