In a solemn ceremony, made even more poignant following the killing of five police officers in Dallas the night before, the Austin Police Department held a ceremony Friday afternoon for the latest graduates from its training academy. Chief of Police Art Acevedo conducted an inspection of the cadets and later addressed the graduates about the duties, responsibilities and the code of conduct expected of police officers. Godspeed to the 133rd Cadet Class.
