Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting Matthew Gase, President and CEO of Stubbs BBQ Sauce. BBQ fans are familiar not only with the sauces and rubs, but also with the legendary Stubbs BBQ restaurant in Austin. Also on hand were Rocky and Reggie Stubblefield, the grandsons of the company founder CB Stubblefield. I told them about having visited the original Stubbs BBQ joint in Lubbock, many years ago when I was a student at Texas Tech. Somehow, I feel a part of the cultural migration of artists from Lubbock to Austin. Here’s the link to the Statesman article.
